Good basic begginer book.
This text includes many photographs showing proper position and resulting images. It discusses the limits and advantages of each view. It also cautions the reader about false positive findings. Additionally, it tells which probes to use and appropriate settings. It is a GREAT resource for a novice.
We see a lot of emergency cases and a presentation by Dr. Lisciandro opened my eyes to the utility of ultrasound in learning so much more about one's critically ill cases. There is a place for focused ultrasound, and focusing on organ systems, one at a time, is also a good way to improve one's skill set in ultrasound. I use this text a lot in my day-to-day practice.
A must have for any veterinarian. I bought this book to learn ultrasound and after reading the first two chapters I was confidently using an ultrasound machine. Since buying the book, I use an ultrasound machine all the time and have diagnosed free abdominal fluid, splenic masses, pyloric antral masses, and bladder sediment. A great book and a serious must have!
I just bought an U/S machine. After reading journal articles, I bought this book.It is very understandable. It take you through the basics until you really do understand what all the knows do.
